The national ministry of General Education and Instruction apologized for irregularities that rocked the first South Sudan Secondary School Certificate Examinations.
Irregularities in the first examinations set from the Sudan curriculum have been rampant since the examinations began on Monday, Radio Bakhita reported.Students and parents are worried about the fate of the students sitting for the first national examinations.
The Examinations Secretary-General, Rajaf Sederia Abdallah apologized to the nation and parents for all the inconveniences.
He said it is for the first time that the country is undergoing such an experience.
Mr Sederia explained that a committee comprising of state director-general, security personnel and invigilators is tasked to photocopy missing papers and give a daily report to the national ministry of General Education.
Mr Sederia confirmed papers irregularities to journalists on Tuesday in Juba.
Many reports revealed that examinations papers are lacking and students waited for papers to be photocopied before taking their examinations.
