DELEGATION ARRIVES YEI TO ASSESS COMPANY PERFORMANCE

A five-member delegation from the national ministry of Agriculture and Forestry arrived Yei River County to assess the performance of Equatoria Teak Company operating in Kajeko North Korobe forest reserve.

The visit followed several complains raised by the communities due to lack of services the Company rendered to the local people of the area.

The team leader who is a Director-General in the ministry, Chrisepo Emmy said the committee will find out facts and present a report to the national ministry.

He said the company was expected to delivery services on education, health, water according to the memorandum of understanding signed in 2007.

Mr Emmy said since the signing of the memorandum, the Company did not so up as expected.
