South Sudan Human Rights Society for Advocacy called on President Salva Kiir Mayardit to reverse his decision and reinstate the National Reconciliation process in the country.

The group said in a press statement that it was shocked by the decree issued by the president on April 15 which threw out the National Reconciliation process.

The statement added that the decree violated the Transitional Constitution that calls on all levels of government to initiate a comprehensive process of national reconciliation and healing to promote harmony, unity and peaceful co-existence.
