The SPLM-North administration of Kumbur payam in Heiban County of Nuba Mountanis shat down its mobile network on Sunday.
Police officer Sodi Ngachalo Papa El-Amin said the local mobile network was shut down due to insecurity concerns.He urged residents in Heiban County to get a recommendation letter from Kumbur Payam Administration in order to access the network.
He added that unauthorized communications would get people into trouble.
Mr Ngachalo stated that the network will be working only on Fridays and Sundays.
He said those whose phones were confiscated on Sunday will receive them back.
The police officer added that they did not confiscate the phones but wanted to tell owners how to make good use of them.
