Don Bosco Secondary School in Tonj South County of Warrap State reopened on Monday.
Deputy Principal Stephen Vuga told Don Bosco Radio that the reopening started with the cleaning of the compound and the classrooms.He said the school will have a staff of 16 teachers for the new academic year.
The Deputy Principal advised the students to come to school and begin their classes and to not delay at home doing something else.
Mr Vuga urged all the students to respect their teachers and be disciplined in class.
He said discipline was key for a successful academic future.
The Deputy Principal added that South Sudan was waiting for the students to be the future leaders and develop the country.
He added that education was the only way to counter corruption, tribalism and poverty.
Student Cyril Chol Machar told all his colleagues to respect the teachers during lessons time, be disciplined and hardworking.
Student Lino Adamjok said he was happy that the school opened.
He asked all his colleagues to attend classes everyday and to cooperate with one another.
The Deputy Principal thanked all parents and guardians for sending their children to school.
