UPPER NILE ASSEMBLY DELIBERATES ON REPORTS

Upper Nile State Legislative Assembly has started on Thursday in its third session to listen and deliberate on the reports of the three organs of the government.

The Assembly chaired by its Acting speaker Chol Dieb Kiir started by deliberating on the Governor’s speech delivered on the first session.

The Assembly resolved that South Sudan Radio Malakal branch should cover all the counties of the state.

The leader of the minority, Juliano Nyawello Saeed called on the government to investigate killing of police forces at the Bank of South Sudan Malakal branch.

He added that the state should also plan for peace and reconciliation conference to unite all the counties of the state.

The Assembly also discussed state development issues including electricity, water sanitation and other basic services.

The acting speaker urged all the members to cooperate and work together to deliver services to the State.
