Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) will start withdrawing southward from all the Safe Border Demilitarized Zones within four days after president, Salva Kiir order for immediate withdrawal.
SPLA spokesperson Colonel Philip Aguer on Monday told the press in Juba that the army started packing up, and the real withdrawal will start after four days, following the general chief of staff orders to all the Divisions.He added that the withdrawal process will take two weeks.
Colonel Aguer said the SPLA will withdraw ten kilometres according to the African Union proposed map of Safe Border Demilitarized Zones.
President Salva Kiir ordered that withdrawal of the SPLA from the borders after the signing of the joint Political and Security Mechanism in Addis Ababa on Friday.
