A group of women from the department of Gender and Women Association on Thursday toured five departments in order to beef up relationship in Yei River County of Central Equatoria state.
Yei County Inspector of Gender Child and Social Welfare Victoria Nasera told Radio Easter that the tour aimed at finding issues related to domestic and gender based violence happening in the County.She said issues including defilement, rape, murder, adultery and imprisonment of underage children were the target.
Ms Nasera called upon people to desist from criminal cases.
Yei County Women Association chairlady said the tour got nearly 20 rape cases in two months time that violated women and children rights.
She called for an end to all sorts of violence against women stressing out equal representation in all levels of work for better service delivery.
The group toured five offices including the high court, police, prison, legal advisor and the army garrison.
