A delegation from Central Equatoria State Ministry of Health and pharmaceuticals arrived in Yei River County to inspect private clinics and pharmacies without legal documents and unprepared staff area of operation in the county.
Director General for Pharmaceuticals Jacob Lazarus told the press that the main purpose of the visit was to check on conditions of private clinics, drug stores, expired drugs and the level of qualification for medical practitioners in the county, Easter Radio reported.Dr Lazarus called on medical practitioners to cooperate with the inspectors.
He said action will be taken against medical operators without legal documents or qualified staff.
The inspection of Yei’s private clinics and pharmacies start within the week and run for three days.
