The Governor of Western Equatoria State refuted to heed to the complaints of some Tombura rsidents asking for the removal of their commissioner.

Tombura Press officer David Bakundiri told Anisa Radio that Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro met with youths and women on Thursday at Tombura County Hall to discuss complaints forwarded by Tombura paramount chief Mboribamu Baabe.

The governor warned the people to stop inciting conflict over Tombura-Nagero borders.

Mr Bakosoro refuted the allegations against Commissioner Babiro Charles Gbamisi because he considered them not genuine.

He said the commissioner could not be changed now.

The communities accused Commissioner Gbamisi of irregular visits to the outside payams, failure to complete the payam headquarters in Source Yubu and Mupoi, and of expanding Tombura airstrip affecting some residences.

In February, some citizens expressed dissatisfaction for the current commissioner and threatened to remove him from his seat.

The youth and women denied taking part in the accusations against the commissioner.
