Western Bahr El Ghazal Acting State Governor demanded that girls’ education should be compulsory to build a better country.
Morris Yel Akol Tiit said the celebration of the International Women’s Day reminded everyone of the situation of women √ɬê Voice of Hope reported.He added that women were more than men in South Sudan and the current 25 percent for women’s representation was not enough.
The acting Governor hailed some progress on education and reduction of violence against women.
Mr Yel suggested that the future required women to coordinate with those in rural areas, in order for equality to prevail between women and men.
He said every nation was measured by the level of education among women and that girl education must be compulsory.
Mr Yel urged his fellow men to be patient and never abuse or subject women to violence.
