The Catholic Bishop of Torit called on South Sudan to learn from the peaceful Kenyan polls to conduct its next elections in 2015.
Johnson Akio Mutek said South Sudan should learn from Kenya.He urged Kenyans to continue upholding peace.
Bishop Akio said the political atmosphere in South Sudan will never be same as during last election in 2010.
He asked South Sudanese to learn tolerance and political harmony ahead of next elections saying there will be lots of challenges as many political parties and candidates vying at various political levels.
The bishop praised the Kenyan presidential debates.
He added that South Sudan’s politicians need to hold their breath to allow such transparent practices be peacefully exercised in the new nation.
Bishop Akio urged Kenyans to maintain and keep embracing peace during the ongoing tallying of poll results and to set a precedent of harmonious polls in Africa.
He said the entire East African region looked forward to the peaceful conduct of Kenyan elections calling for forgiveness if frictions arose.
