Michael Ukelo, who died suddenly of heart failure on Wednesday in Juba, will be buried in the grounds of St Paul’s Major Seminary in Gudele, Juba.
The decision was reached on Wednesday evening in a meeting between the mother of the deceased and some clerics that followed a requiem mass at St Theresa’s Cathedarl in Kator, presided by Bishop Santo Loku Pio.She said she had offered her son to God and would allow the Church to bury him where she wanted.
Fr Ukelo was a lecturer of theology in St Paul’s Major Seminary.
It was decided that he should rest in the compound of the institution he served with his life, although preparations were underway for his burial in Palotaka, Magwi County of Eastern Equatoria, his birthplace.
CRN learned that the burial ceremony takes place on Thursday at 3:00 PM.
