Rumbek North and Awerial Counties of Lakes States were gifted with 26 new boreholes thanks to OXFAM GB, UNICEF and UNDP.
State director for water, hygiene and sanitation, Barnaba Makuac Magol, told Good News Radio that Rumbek North got a total of 16 boreholes while Awerial had ten.He explained that partners opted to offer services to the counties with inadequate water points: UNICEF works in Awerial County and Oxfam IN Rumbek North.
Mr Makuac said he needs some help from other donors who are willing to assist in drilling water points in other counties.
