A group of 25 civil society organizations on Monday conducted a roundtable meeting with the Joint Donor Team consultants in Yambio, Western Equatoria state.
Consultant Ruth Mwikali told Anisa Radio that the meeting was to see the existing mechanisms for civil society organizations at the national and state levels.She said South Sudan civil societies started the fund baseline survey for the five states of Central and Western Equatoria States, Northern and Western Bahr el Gazel States, and then Upper Nile states.
Mundri Active Youth Association Director, Repent Woro Odrande, said the roundtable meeting in Western Equatoria empowered organizations on the ground.
He added that his organization is doing public sanitation programs and HIV AIDS awareness in Mundri West.
The meeting brought all directors of civil society groups from Yambio, Nzara, Mundri West, Ibba and Maridi.
