The World Bank Board of Executive Directors on Friday endorsed 130 US million dollars to support development in South Sudan between 2013 and 2014.

The support will seek to impact on service delivery by promoting effective economic management and governance and expanding productive employment opportunities.

World Bank Country Director for South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia Bella Bird said as development partners the Banc recognizes that building the state will depend on development oriented leaders that implement a long term vision, while exercising patience and persistence.

She said the support will be laying the foundation for a journey that seeks to transform physical, human and institutional development in the country.
