The magistrate of Wau North Court on Friday listened to 11 suspects accused of causing unrest and blocking the Bussere Road last December.

The plaintiff accused the suspects of participating in the unrest carrying machetes, knives and flammable liquids, Voice of Hope reported.

So far eight suspects explained to the judge how they were arrested.

Another two files were postponed to the first week of March.

The former Wau County Commissioner case was also postponed to March 5 together with another 17 suspects from Faragalla area, because the accused did not have a lawyer representing them.

During the first week, 29 suspects appeared before the court.

The hearings resume on Monday.

UNMISS said some 100 politicians and civil society activists are held at Wau Central Prison awaiting trial.
