Aid agencies are assisting people displaced by Wau violence distributing food rations and non-food items to over 3,300 people.

The Wau IDPs settled in Tambura and Nagero counties in Western Equatoria.

Education partners installed four classroom tents to cater for educational needs of children, including providing learning materials, UNOCHA South Sudan Weekly Humanitarian Bulletin reported.

A total of 281 displaced children are registered in schools in Tambura and Nagero counties.

Aid agencies have also distributed over 530 household kits including mosquito nets, blankets, plastic sheeting, sleeping mats, jerry cans, a kitchen set, soap and plastic bags to 3,000 people

The latest figures indicate an increase of some 560 IDPs although Wau is calm since January.
