The Assistant Commissioner of Forestry in Yei River County said forestry management was the responsibility of all stakeholders to prevent overexploitation.
Alfred Kennedy Swaka explained that government and non government organizations as well as the local community have roles to protect forests, Radio Easter reported.He said the three stakeholders can provide training, protection, seeds and other materials for reforestation.
Mr Kennedy said good forest management would improve environmental conservation.
He made the call following some deforestation activities at the onset of the dry season.
