Rebels said claims that Sudan Armed Forces defeated the SPLA-N in South Dandoro of Blue Nile State were false.
SPLM-North official spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said in an e-mail that SAF’s statement was completely untrue and baseless, and there was no fighting in the area.He added that the claim was a propaganda decoy to boost the morale of government troops after their defeat in Mufu.
The spokesperson said there were three Government military convoys ready to attack SPL-N positions in Blue Nile, but the rebels were monitoring them very closely and would destroy them as they did in Mufu.
Mr Ngattulu said SPLA-N forces defeated Government soldiers and militias that launched ground attack against its position in Alshifir village in Alsonut County, South Kordofan, last week.
He added that two SPLA-N fighters were killed and another four wounded in the battle.
