Lakes state government has issued an order banning night movement in Rumbek to maintain security in the town.
Governor Chol Tong Mayay forbade unnecessary movement at night in Rumbek for a few days to allow the patrolling teams do their work, Good News Radio reported.He said the order is not a curfew but that youth outside town especially those holding guns were not allowed to enter the town during night hours.
Governor Tong also disclosed that after the Friday shooting 25 people were reported dead and many more wounded.
He said most of injured people were not brought to the hospital because they feared investigations after treatment.
Governor Tong appealed to the community members to bring any wounded person to the hospital for treatment.
