Some members of Equity Bank staff have expressed mistrust though they accepted to resume work on Friday pledging to fight for their rights.
Apoya Agustine told CRN that though they have returned to work as the Managing Director promised to sort out their demands within four weeks it did not mean they lost the fight for their rights. He said even though the management failed to act on their promise the staff have the right to express their anger to show the world that they have been mistreated.
Grace Isaac said she was not happy because things were not clear and there was no good reaction from the managing director.
She said it was not enough for the manager to verbally say they shall solve the problems.
On Thursday, national staff of Equity Bank from all its three branches in Juba went for strike demanding better pay and equal treatment with their foreign counterparts.
Officials from national labour ministry talked to the staff and asked them to resume work on Friday.
