At least three huts were burnt in Sobe residential area in Yei town on Thursday evening.
Rhoda Ayen told Radio Easter that her house caught fire when her children were frying beans and set the other two neighbours houses ablaze.Mibor Gatkuoch, the owner of the second house, said all his belonging were burnt.
Felix Sebit the executive chief of the area said he saw the houses burning.
He urged the citizens not to attribute it to the incident that happened last year in the county and called on mothers to be vigilant at this dry season.
