The Kenyan Battalion, commonly known as KenBat, serving with UNMISS, last Wednesday started training ten prison officers on basic computer skills officers in Wau.
Colonel Mariac Acitak of Wau Central Prison appreciated UNMISS and KenBat for their efforts, Voice of Hope reported.
He lamented that their IT department lacked skilled officers.
UNMISS state Coordinator Winnie Babihuga emphasized the mission«s mandate in building capacities and supporting the new nation.
The training programme was meant to teach computer skills for record keeping and communications.
