The Commissioner of Nagero County, has inaugurated the Vamangede Agriculture Farm in Duma Payam, Western Equatoria.
Minialla Joseph advised members of Vamangede Farmers Association (VAFA) to do extremely well in order to encourage other people to unite and farm collectively, Anisa Radio reported.He urged all unemployed youth to embrace the initiative rather than playing dominoes, hunting, or doing other unproductive ventures.
Mr Minialla asked all the farmers to transform traditional farming into commercial specializing crops.
VAFA was launched on January 8, 2012 with 60 members.
The opening of the farm resulted from the success of Ngoni-Namatina feeder road maintenance jointly by the local communities and the county.
