The Commissioner of Juba County has condemned a land dispute between Nyangwara and Bari communities in Nyamini area of Central Equatoria.
Stephen Wani Samuel said some members of Nyangwara community came to Nyamini armed with spears, pangas, and other sharp metals to demarcate and settle in the area, Bakhita Radio reported.He advised the Nyangwara community members that South Sudan is resolving international borders and that the internal disputes will be resolved in the future.
Mr Wani explained that any land dispute should be presented administratively through Payam and Boma chiefs.
He condemned the action and asked Nyangwara community members to go back.
Nyangwara and Bari communities land dispute had taken long to resolve.
