Nine people were injured in a car accident on the TonjÐWau road on Sunday.

Andrea Ater, the driver of one of the cars, said he was going to Wau carrying nine people on Sunday when a car knock him from behind, Radio Don Bosco reported.

He explained that when he reached Yual-Agok (about 25 kilometres from Tonj) he saw a car through a rear mirror coming behind him at very high speed.

Mr Ater said suddenly the car hit his car from behind.

He added that he was injured in the head and eight of his passengers were also injured.

Tonj Civil Hospital director Peter Deng Kuc said two women and one man who were seriously injured were referred to Wau for further medical attention.

Traffic Police Officer Daniel Deng said Andrea Ater was right on his way but the other driver who hit the car from behind was wrong.

Daniel Deng said his office is lacking a car for emergency travelling where there is incident.

He added that they usually beg other peoples’ cars for emergency during accidents.
