One of five boys who gang raped a school girl last June tried to hit his victim with a vehicle when she was leaving All Saints Cathedral after Sunday’s service.

An eyewitness told CRN on Tuesday that B. Jok, a secondary student from Juba, was seen on Sunday intending to run a girl over.

Fortunately, an elderly man saw the car going to hit the girl from behind and shouted at her to jump off the road.

The vehicle narrowly missed her.

The eyewitness added that after he missed the girl he stopped and told her “I will kill you” before speeding off.

The mother of the girl came to the school this morning bringing a summons from the court but Mr Jok was not at the premises.

She said her daughter’s layer advised her to open a case against Mr Jok after he tried to kill her and hurled death threats against her.

Mr Jok was acquitted by the court because he was underage.

The girl was kidnapped at a wedding reception, put into a vehicle and driven away.

She was raped by five boys, including Mr Jok.
