Tore Payam, in Yei River County of Central Equatoria, inaugurated its headquarters, police station and operation theatre in a bid to bring services to the local communities in the rural areas.

Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine told the press on Saturday during the inauguration that the local Government was committed to ensure that towns were taken to villages, Radio Easter reported.

Mr Juma urged the local population to embrace education and agriculture in order to transform the Payam.

Tore Payam Director Justine Modi explained that education and transports still remain big challenges in the area.

The Payam headquarters cost 150 thousand South Sudanese pounds, funded by the Central Equatoria State Government in collaboration with the County Authority.
