SPLM-Wau Caucus released a press statement condemning the Wau-Baggari bloodshed and supporting the relocation of the County Headquarters to Baggari.
The Caucus, formed by SPLM members in the executives and legislatures of Wau County met on Wednesday, Voice of Hope reported.SPLM-Wau County chairperson Anthony Charles Ngbarende released a seven-point statement read by Andrew Akon encouraging forgiveness and reconciliation to cement unity among South Sudanese.
The document urged the authorities to bring the people behind the violence in Wau and Baggari to justice.
The SPLM-Wau gave a strong support to relocated Wau County headquarters to Baggari following President Salva Kiir’s endorsement of the move on December 24.
The Caucus called for trust and confidence among all communities.
The press statement also paid condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives during the violent protests in Wau and Baggari last month.
