Western Equatoria Police officers met in Yambio for their third conference to review and evaluate the work done in 2012.

State Police Commissioner Mayom Deng Biar appreciated the work done by the police in 2012, Anisa Radio reported.

He invited all Police commissioners and their commanders to feel at home and draft the budget for 2013 within two days starting this Thursday.

Lack of good infrastructure and reference materials were among the challenges recorded last year in the police headquarters in Ibba and M’volo.

State minister for local government and law enforcement Daniel Ezibon Zingifuaboro thanked all organized forces for maintaining security in the state.

Governor Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro announced that all police officers would undergo training to understand their roles better.

He warned them not to get involved in crime, and avoid harassing people with guns or in uniform.

The Police conference brought together all the commissioners and directors from Western Equatoria’s ten counties.
