Juba residents are worried about the deadline for the SIM cards registration that ended officially on Monday and asked for an extension.
The SIM cards registration began one month ago for subscribers of all mobile operators in South Sudan.Bakhita Radio talked to some subscribers queuing for registration in town.
Joseph Muangi said the authorities should extend the registration days because there are people outside the country and in the countryside who have not registered their SIM cards.
Peter Chol came from Bor, Jonglei state, two days ago to register his SIM card.
He said he was afraid that the mobile companies might charge subscribers some pounds for registration after the official dateline.
Mr Chol added that it would be unfortunate because many citizens cannot afford that.
Charles Oja said the days of registration should be extended because the exercise was mainly concentrated in Juba leaving aside rural areas and other towns.
