Government warplanes bombed Heiban and Umdarain localities targeting crops ready for harvest.
Heiban County SPLM-N Chairman Younan Al-Barut Ajour said Sudanese warplanes on Saturday dropped four bombs in Kauda destroying some fields.He said the attack was not a surprise since Nuba Mountains are being bombed since June of last year.
Mr Al-Barut added that two women working in the gardens ditched and survived the attack unharmed.
The bombs also destroyed the Women Association compound in Kauda.
The government has resorted to targeting civilians in its campaign against the SPLM-N who is fighting the regime.
Humanitarian agencies are not allowed to operate in the region that is stricken by famine.
The crops are the new target for the Government who intends to starve the region to death.
