The Commissioner of Yei River County has announced that the city is hosting the International Day of People with Disability in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender and Social Welfare on December 3.
Juma David Augustine said the people in Yei will welcome their fellow brothers and sisters with disabilities to tell them that disability is not inability.Juba Deputy Mayor Lokonga David Moses – who was present at the function – urged the youths to focus on development issues instead of dwelling on tribalism and evil activities in the County.
He said the new nation belongs to the youth and they have to start showing their maturity.
He urged the youth of Yei to unite and support the Commissioner to develop the County.
The County Commissioner and the Deputy Mayor made the remarks on Friday at the Commissioner’s house during a youth get-together party.
