The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North or SPLM-N is appealing to the residents of Kadugli in South Kordofan to leave the town and move to safe locations.

SPLM-N Spokesman Arnu Ngattulu Loddi said civilians should move out of Kadugli because the SPLA-N continues to target military installations inside the town.

Mr Ngattulu said the National Congress Party , Governor Ahmed Haroun, Kadugli commissioner and various security organs were preventing citizens from moving to safe areas.

He accused the Khartoum regime of using civilians in Kadugli as human shields.

Mr Ngattulu affirmed that it was a crime against the humanity.

The spokesperson also accused the state media of misleading citizens by hiding the fact on the security situation in the area.

Hieban County SPLM-N chairman, Younan Al-Barut Ajur, said rebel forces were shelling Kadugli from a distance of 12 kilometres.

He explained that the SPLA-N intensified their attacks after the rainy season stopped to subdue South Kordofan’s capital after having taken Mitan from SAF control.
