Intertribal clashes between cattle keepers in Majak area known as Rumbek Jadid, Western Bahr El Ghazal, injured at least 21 people.
Police officer Kamilo Franco, who went to the scene, told Voice of Hope that the fighting started in the cattle camp between two boys from different clans over a girl who claimed she was beaten.He said the fighting broke out on Sunday evening in the cattle camp and extended to the surrounding villages.
Mr Franco said the suspects were arrested and the area is calm.
Marcelo Gabriel Ganda, a medical director at Wau Teaching Hospital, said 21 people with minor injuries were brought to the facility between Monday and Tuesday for treatment.
The youths involved in the fighting from both clans were arrested and a police force is at the scene to make sure that the fighting stopped.
