Heavy rains have washed away the main road that connects Malualbaai Payam to the headquarters of Aweil East County in Northern Bahr El Ghazal.
The movement of people and goods has been seriously affected, Internews reported.Moses Aguer Bol said the road is in a critical condition and called on the government and local authorities to rehabilitate it before residents run out of basic needs.
He added that the situation will affect health services since many residents have been travelling to the County headquarters for treatment.
Mr Aguer insisted that the government should intervene immediately and save the situation.
