The Catholic Bishop of Yei has called on citizens to respect the law in order to live in peace.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe said the people of Yei should not be disturbed by lawbreakers. He called on motorists to abide by the traffic laws, asking motorbike riders to respect life.
Bishop Lodu told those caught red-handed not to argue with the police but take the punishment their offenses deserved.
The bishop of Yei made this appeal during his Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral.
Last week, boda-boda riders assaulted a police officer in Yei over a stolen bike.
