Upper Nile Labour and Public Service ministry conducted a three-day workshop for 30 establishment officials from various government institutions in a bid to control corruption in the state.

The workshop started on Monday under the theme “Building honest and effective public service”, Voice of Love reported.

Governor Simon Kun Puoch opened the training that was organized to equip the participants to prepare pay sheets, recruit new employees and organize workers’ files.

The establishment officials will also keep an eye on the promotion system in the state.

Mr Kun told the participants to organize the file system and a better salaries presentation to the government employees.

He said corruption could be easily controlled with an improved system.

Mr Kun told the officials to end with the complaints about lost files.

Labour and Public Service Minister, Aban Makol, told the officials to look into the payrolls to discover cheating names.

He urged them to give accurate information and public service regulations to their ministers to recruit new employees only when there are vacancies.
