The Oil Minister directed oil companies and pipeline operators to resume immediately the production of crude in South Sudan.
Stephen Dhieu Dau issued a statement on Thursday evening ordering petroleum operations to resume in Upper Nile and Unity oil wells that were capped since January.
He said the directive follows the cooperation agreements signed with Sudan in Addis Ababa last month.
Mr Dhieu explained that the crude should reach the international market in the next three months.
He urged all companies and operators to act as reasonable and prudent operators.
