The Lakes State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday passed the conduct of business regulations making some changes in its operating system.
The acting chairperson of the Review Committee Marial Amom Malek told Good News Radio that the long awaited conduct of business regulation processes started on August 8.He noted that the law will be in use after the Speaker signs it.
Mr Marial said the arrangements of the new conduct of business will benefit all the members of parliament and all groups of the state.
He added that the term of office for committee chairpersons was reduced from five to two years.
MP Chard Rack Bol Machok said the new conduct of business rules take into account representatively in the state.
He remarked that in the previous allocation of heads of committee Wulu County was left out.
Lakes State Legislative Assembly is currently having 16 specialized committees.
