STATE INFORMATION MINISTRY SENDS STAFF TO INDIA

Western Bahr El Ghazal State Ministry of Information will send 19 staff members to India for training in various fields by the beginning of next year.

The Director of Training at the State Ministry, Abdelrahim Karam said the scholarships are offered by an Indian Institution in New Delhi through the national Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

He said the training that is expected to start in January 2013.is in English Language, Computer Science and one Diploma in Developmental Journalism.

Mr. Karam added the courses have different durations ranging from two to six months and the basic requirement is English knowledge.

He said his department has selected graduates and few administrators of age below 45 years to go for the training.

Mr. Karam said the state will benefit from the training in various fields including covering news, commercial advertisement and community mobilization.

He said 16 out of the 19 selected candidates are graduates.

In June the State Ministry of Information selected two staff for training in India but one returned because of language problems.
