SOUTH SUDAN AND AMERICA SIGN CORPORATION MEMORANDUM

South Sudan and American Embassy on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding on the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to promote investment in South Sudan.

The national Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Garang Diing Akuong said the memorandum will boost cooperation with the OPIC.

He said the CEO had assured to increase investment in South Sudan after reaching financial and political risks Memo.

Mr Diing assured his government positive move in ratifying many treaties that enhanced investment.

Overseas Private Investment Corporation President and CEO Elizabeth Littlefield said the memorandum will pave the way for building infrastructures and development in many sectors.

She said the American investors are not only interested in oil sector but also in agriculture, transportation, and tourism and processing.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the American Ambassador to South Sudan Susan D Page.
