Peace signed by the communities of Jonglei state mediated by peace committee is effective and keeping the communities united.
The Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan (ECS) Daniel Deng told Bakhita Radio Tuesday that the peace he initiated between Murle, Nuer and Dinka in Jonglei has solved the problems between those communities.He said David Yau Yau rebellion is not against any community but against the national government.
The ECS Prelate explained that the Government is responsible to deal with the rebellion of Yau Yau not his peace committee for Jonglei.
Archbishop Deng affirmed that economic activities between Murle, Dinka and Nuer are ongoing in Jonglei with no fear of cattle theft.
Archbishop Deng let a peace committee that finally reconciled the warring communities in Jonglei state, although the state still undergoes insecurity caused by Yau Yau rebellion.
