The state ministry of health in Western Bahr El-Ghazal has launched a general cleaning.
The Ministry on Friday morning closed its offices in order to allow workers to hold cleaning tools and start cleaning Wau Teaching Hospital.The Director General in the state Ministry of Health, Archangelo Bamboo Nela, told Radio Voice of Hope that the cleaning campaign is an observation of the global hand washing day.
He said the campaign has called on all the state ministries to conduct this cleaning exercise adding that every Friday the ministry would continue cleaning in the hospital.
Mr Bamboo called on all health units in the rural areas and every home in the state to join the campaign.
The director observed that clean environment can prevent the rampart occurrence of malaria and other infectious diseases.
The cleaning campaign brought together government officials.
