A crowd that gathered to protest against inclusion of mile 14 to the demilitarized zone rejected the endorsement of the cooperation agreement signed by South Sudan and Sudan last month.

The crowd got disappointed when Peter Bashir Bandi told them that South Sudan Government and the parliament will endorse the agreement but watch it critically.

Deng Athui, leader of South Sudan Civil Society Alliance said the civil society is not happy with inclusion of mile 14 into the areas to be demilitarized between Sudan and South Sudan.

He added that the four agreements were also not as good as the people of South Sudan wanted.

Crowd chanted no, no, no when MP Bashir Bandi said the national parliament will endorse the agreement.

The chant forced the MP to change motion and give the mike to the Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
