The government of Western Bahr El Ghazal state has applauded the nine agreements signed between South Sudan and Sudan in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, last month.
The Government deliberated on the agreements on Tuesday morning and approved them as binding to the people of the state as well as to the two signatory countries of South Sudan and Sudan, Voice of Hope reported.State ministers, members of parliament and heads of security forces met at the state secretariat on Wednesday for a briefing with the governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan.
He acknowledged that many citizens did not understand the importance of the agreements.
Governor Zachariah announced that the state will form a team to tell citizens about the contents of the nine agreements in detail.
The nine agreements include oil, security arrangements, nationality, assets and liabilities, pensions, borders, security, cooperation, banking, and debts.
