SOUTH SUDAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION SUSPENDS PRESIDENT

SSFA, the South Sudan Football Association, has provisionally suspended its president allegedly for forging a letter to the President of Confederation of African Football or CAF in September.

The Association’s Media Committee Chairman Gai Chol Chol told reporters Wednesday in Juba that Chabur Goc Alei was suspended from the presidency because he forged a letter to CAF President Issa Hayatu alleging that FIFA and CAF suspended SSFA Vice President due to financial matters, Bakhita Radio reported.

Mr Chol said Mr Chabur broke SSFA Regulations concerning abuse of power.

Mr Chol revealed that the SSFA General Assembly will sit on December 3 to study Mr Chabur’s conduct.

He said former Mr Chabur was suspended for one year.

On Wednesday, FIFA Senior Development Officer for Africa, Francesco Bruscoli, told SSFA to unite in order to pursue its development together with FIFA that is ready to assist with one million US dollars for its headquarters.
