JAPAN REHABILITATES JUBA NA BARI ROAD

The Government of Japan has granted over one million US dollars to the Central Equatoria State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure to rehabilitate Juba Na Bari road.

Japanese Ambassador Ryoichi Horie and Central Equatoria State Minister of Physical Infrastructure Soba Samuel Manase signed the grant contract on Wednesday.

The money covers the paving the 1.7 kilometer of road, including side ditches to improve drainage.

The design work of the road and side ditches had been prepared with JICA technical assistance, and consultation is underway with UNMISS.

The project benefits more than 3,500 households by improving the mobility of people as well as the living condition in general.
