A member of Local Government Board has called on the national government to punish people suspected of committing crimes in the country.

Nicodemos Arou Man told Bakhita Radio that the government and Human Rights organization favour criminals because they do not convict them over their activities against innocent citizens.

He said people who abduct children go unpunished when they are caught.

Mr Man explained that the Government and Human Rights organizations should revise their performance in the country.

Mr Man was speaking after a meeting of Human Rights organizations on Friday in Juba.

The meeting identified insecurity in Jonglei, arbitrary arrests and unlimited presidential amnesty as major hindrance to Human Rights performance in the country.
